The Rutherford Chili Ball is back on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, and we’re looking for at least six Master Chili Teams to serve up tasting portions of their signature (and secret!) recipes. Form your team, bring the flavor, and join us in making this year’s Chili Ball unforgettable.  Spots are limited, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible to secure your place in the lineup!

Event Details

Date: Sunday, August 3, 2025
Time: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Location: Beckstoffer Farm Center – 8600 Conn Creek Road, Rutherford, CA
Team Load-In & Setup: 2:30 PM
Chili Service: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Then kick off your shoes and dance!)

Teams Provide

  • Chili Portions- Please prepare small tasting portions (1.5 to 2 oz each) of your delicious, unforgettable, and soon-to-be-legendary chili – enough to serve approximately 350 to 400 guests
  • Chili Warming & Serving Equipment – Bring a crock pot, slow cooker, or other heat-safe serving vessel to keep your chili hot throughout the event. Don’t forget ladles or appropriate serving utensils. Access to 110V power outlets will be available on site.
  • Service Table & Custom Decor – Show off your team spirit by choosing a fun theme for your chili station- whether it’s costumes, matching aprons, or creative table decor. Come ready to serve up memorable chili and bring some extra flavor to the event with your team’s energy, style, and hospitality.

Rutherford Dust Society Provides

  • One 6-foot table covered with a plastic tablecloth
  • Tasting supplies: cups, utensils, and napkins
  • Ice and a tub to keep beverages cool

Prizes

  • Guests will vote for their favorite chili during the event – so bring your best flavors and
    showmanship
  • Every team will receive a prize and be honored in true Rutherford Dust Society style for their
    creativity, spirit, and contribution to the community

Notes

  • Each team may have up to two servers. Additional team members must purchase a ticket to attend
    the event.
