Rutherford Dust Society Announces Election of New Board Officers and
Welcomes New Executive Director

Rutherford, CA – The Rutherford Dust Society (RDS), the marketing organization
supporting the Rutherford Viticultural Area, proudly announces its new board leadership and the appointment of a new executive director, reaffirming our unwavering
commitment to this unique wine-growing region.

As a part of the Annual Member Meeting and Dinner on January 9, 2025, the
membership voted in new leadership, ushering in an exciting chapter for the
organization. The outgoing board members, led by President Rod Santos, Vice
President Sara Fowler, Treasurer Joel Aiken, and Secretary Will Lawrence have
significantly contributed to the society’s mission of being good stewards of the land and
building a strong wine community.

The new board members are:
– Sara Fowler, President
– Regina Weinstein, Vice President
– Will Lawrence, Treasurer
– Rebekah Wineburg, Secretary

“Having spent the past 20+ years as a part of the RDS board, I’m thrilled to be a part of such a dedicated leadership team. I’m excited to be an officer once again. We’ve got 
a lot of incredible events and initiatives in the works for 2025 to promote and elevate our
AVA.” says Regina Weinstein, former RDS President.

In addition to the new board, the Rutherford Dust Society is pleased to welcome Jennifer Heinichen as its new Executive Director. With 20 years of experience in marketing and public relations, Jennifer brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to the organization. “My goal this year is to lead key initiatives that support our members’ interests and ensure financial stability and future growth,” said Heinichen. “I am dedicated to boosting member
engagement benefits, strengthening community relationships, and fundraising to expand our impact inside the Rutherford Community.”

The Rutherford Dust Society looks forward to continued growth and innovation under its new leadership while maintaining its commitment to helping wine lovers and the wine trade discover Rutherford’s unique terroir.
